During the first half 2006, Beiman Special Steel has achieved leapfrog developments. Steel export of Beiman were 57,170 tons; export value were $37.86 million, increased by 137.8% from the same period last year. By the end of June, export value has been equal to the total amount earned in the whole 2005.
Having formed the Dongbei Special Steel Group(DSSG) with Liaoning Special Steel, Beiman began to improve their quality and international fame. With the access to sufficient human, technology, market and other shared resources that the joint venture could provid, Beiman made great achievements in developing forging and rolling products.
Their steel products for minning machine and anchor chain are very popular in overseas market. In the first quarter this year, export value were $10.43 million; that figure increased to $27.43 million the second quarter.
In Sept. 2004, Beiman Special Steel, Liaoning Special Steel, and other investing parties altogether formed the Dongbei Special Steel Group in Dalian city. Since than, DSSG has become the main force of Chinese steel producing industry.
