Beiman Special Steel 18CrNiMo7-6H (E) Electroslag Rough Forging Material Succeed in First Trial Production

With the 18CrNiMo7-6H (E) electroslag steel forging materials entering the warehouse in early May, Beiman Special Steel announced the successful completion of the contract of electroslag steel forging materials with a domestic user.

It is the first time for Beiman Special Steel to produce 18CrNiMo7-6H (E) electroslag steel forging materials which are mainly applied to high-speed locomotive drive gear after stamp forging, and have high requirement on the purity of steel, homogeneity of chemical composition, content of residual elements, vertical and horizontal mechanical properties, fault detection, etc.

The success of the first trial has laid a solid foundation for further enhancement of the physical quality of the product. In May, the user signed another contract of 50 t 18CrNiMo7-6H (E) with Beiman Special Steel, which shows good prospects for market development.
