Beijing Customs Seized the First Significant Bearing Infringement Case in 2013

In January 2013, Beijing Customs seized export bearings infringement case through airport freight channel. With a total of 5,000 sets of bearings involved in the case, this is the largest quantity infringement case of NTN brand in China.

According to Beijing Customs, the shipment of the goods declared for product name of "deep groove ball bearing" has no brand. After unpacking inspection of customs officers, the bearings and packages were all printed with "JAPAN" "NTN" marks, so they were suspected of imitating famous Japanese bearing brand. Their investigation confirmed that the good were in infringement. These products has been temporarily seized and transferred to regulatory department for follow-up treatment.

In recent years, Beijing Customs has achieved the tangible results in the purification of the import and export environment through constantly strengthening IPR protection and making great efforts to combat with infringement.
