Bearing & Transmission, Groupe GLM Change Operating Names to Applied Industrial Technologies

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Sept. 16 /CNW/ -- Applied Industrial Technologies Ltd. announced today that its Bearing & Transmission and Groupe GLM businesses have changed their operating names to Applied Industrial Technologies, effective September 1, 2010. This change does not impact the fluid power divisions of HyPOWER Systems, Pro Hydraulique, or PV Hydraulique.

Applied Industrial Technologies Ltd., headquartered in Saskatoon, SK, is the Canadian-operated subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: AIT), one of North America's leading independent distributors of bearings, power transmission components, fluid power components and systems, rubber products, linear components, and general maintenance and specialty items. The name change will serve to effectively leverage the resources and benefits of being part of the Applied Industrial Technologies organization.
