The CJ composite bearing line from Tristar Plastics is being used as a horizontal shaft support bearing on fork-lift attachments, including paper rolls, paper bales and barrel clamps.
The bearing is a filament wound product with a PTFE/Nomex liner utilised for wear and lubrication.
With a compressive strength close to 40,000psi and a speed rating of 100sfpm, the CJ composite bearings are said to provide excellent resistance to impact and shock loads, and are capable of withstanding a high degree of shaft misalignment.
Also available is the FCJ composite bearing, which utilises a Rulon F liner, making it an ideal choice for combination motion-oscillatory, linear and/or rotary applications.
This engineered combination makes the FCJ suitable as a general-purpose self-lubricating bearing.
