The Eleventh Five-Year Plan are expected to play an important role in transfering Chinese bearing industry from mass to strength production. As a long term strategic planning, it have proposed some measures for the industry at present stage.
First, Given the existing problem of fast growing output and snail pace of technological advancement in bearing industry, enterprises should change themself from the current scale model to an efficiency one, maintaining their output at a stable level, enhancing products quality. Meanwhile, they should also adjust proudcts mix by raising proportion of high precision, high performance and high value added products to meet requirements for the increasingly developed M.E. equipment market. Performance, service life and reliability should be the basic requirements for all bearing products.
Then, continue to promote the readjustment for industrial organization, determinately take a road to development as group corporation. Accordingly, enterprises should increase the industrial integration through joint acquisition or equity restructuring.
Finally, to intensify the brand strategy. At present, we should stress the concept of technology expansion and product expansion. It is estimated that there are about 20 bearing enterprises reaching international technological level by 2010.
