Bearings International in partnership with BAT (Bearing Acceptance Testing) now offers a high-tech solution to the international problem of extended lead times of certain industrial bearings by offering a used bearing recertification and reconditioning service.
Bearing recertification and reconditioning lowers operational running costs by reducing the maintenance, ownership and downtime costs.During overhauls, shutdowns and breakdowns or without good reason based on their condition, used bearings are often replaced with new ones. Bearing recertification and reconditioning offers a significant potential cost saving apart from the benefit of reduced lead times.
Bearing Recertification involves a process of cleaning and testing of removed bearings. This test involves dimensional, geometric and physical damage inspections of components and surfaces and dynamic testing on a specialised bearing analyser to evaluate the overall running condition of the bearing. Once passed the bearings are certified as fit for continued use.
Reconditioned bearings are special cases of recertification aimed at larger industrial bearings of higher value where the bearings require a process of work on the components. Bearings that are reconditioned are tested in a similar way to that of recertified bearings and when complete are comparable in all aspects to new bearings.
Both Bearings International and BAT are ISO certified.
A warranty on workmanship of 6 months is offered.
