In recent years, the Special Steel Department of the Steel Bar Plant No. 1 Branch has developed the bearing localization QC activity, aiming at the situation that the cost of imported bearing is high. At present, the assembly precision of the 6 bearings which is being used on the production line all met the application standard and run well, which is expected to save CNY 630,000.
The cassette mechanism bearings used on the production lines of Steel Bar Plant No. 1 Branch were originally imported. Since they were put on stream, the single bearing has run for more than 10,000 hours and need replacing in time. If the plant adopts the imported bearings, then the cost will reach CNY 5 million in a year. For this situation, the Steel Bar Plant No. 1 Branch established the independent management team to overcome the problem. After several discussions about the material of the localized rolling mill bearing, the management team has chosen six localized bearings, of which the assembly precision meets the application standard. According to the track and feedback, the localized bearings totally run 3300 hours and run well.
