Baosteel is making progress in high-end mining wear-resistant material research and development. Developed by Baosteel Special Material, BTW new high manganese wear-resistant steel plate breaks foreign enterprises' monopoly in China's mining high-end wear-resistant material and enhances mining equipment service life by more than twice. This will boost the technological progress of China's coal equipment and coal safe production. This is learned from coal mining wear-resistant material application technology development seminar recently organized by China University of Mining and Technology.

In recent years, Baosteel Special Material, together with China University of Mining and Technology and Tianjin Wei Er Lang Technology Co., Ltd., carries out mining wear-resistant material application technology research and successfully develops new high-manganese BTW series wear-resistant steel plate applicable to different impact or friction conditions. This series of wear-resistant steel wear-resistant mechanism is different from conventional enhanced wear resistance. It is through induced phase transformation strengthening during machine body material's wearing process that it becomes more and more wear-resistant. The machine body metal material has good strength and toughness and weldability, so as to solve wear-resistant steel processing problem. When applied in scraper convey middle trough, the whole machine service life can increase by more than twice and its technology reaches the international advanced level. Ge Shirong says in his speech that the development of wear-resistant material is vital to industrial equipment and coal mine machinery safety and energy saving. He hopes thay experts can carry out mining wear-resistant material key technology collaborative research and solve this problem.
