Baosteel Continuous Casting Rack Steel Meet German Standard

Recently, Baosteel Special Steel Group produced the first batch of steel for racks used on car steering device by means of continuous casting. And following trial use by customer, it was proved to meet standard of German ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the world leading manufacturer for driveline and chassis technology.

Rack are critical components of cars' steering system, having close connection with safety. In past, Baosteel produce such steel by die casting which is lack of efficiency. Now, the continuous casting not only improve product quality but also cut productive cost, raising economic benefit notably.
