Baosteeel Ranks 4th in SBB Crude Steel Production Ranking

On March 19, SBB (Steel Business Briefing) announces the top 20 rankings in 2011 global iron and steel enterprise crude steel production. With 43.3 million tons, Baosteel ranks fourth.

Set up in London in 2001, SBB is committed to serving the global steel industry with high-quality industry news, price information, research reports, and organizing industry activities.

It is reported that other steel enterprises that enter top 10 of 2011 global crude steel production are: ArcelorMittal (91.9 million tons), Hebei Steel Group (71.7 million tons), Anshan Steel Group(46.2 million tons), Wisco (37.7 million tons), Posco (37.3 million tons), Nippon Steel (33.3 million tons), Shagang Steel Group (31.9 million tons), Shougang Group (30 million tons) and JFE (2 9.9million tons).

The top 20 Chinese steel companies includes: Shandong Steel Group (24 million tons, ranking 11), Bohai Steel Group (19.2 million tons, ranking 15) and Masteel Group (16.7 million tons, ranking19).
