Adjustments in Technology and Equipment Import Tax Policy for Three Major Emerging Industries

On March 12, Ministry of Finance and other three departments jointly issued a notice indicating that since April 1 this year, adjustents will be made to the equipment and product catalog, imported key parts and raw materials catalog, non tax-free equipment and product catalog, etc. relevant to the major technology and equipment import tax policies. On the aspects of the adjustments in duty free and VAT free for imported goods, 28 major technical equipment are added, wherein, the three major emerging industries -- marine equipment, solar energy applications and LED devices benefit the most.
