On May 4, 2012, Ministry of Science and Technology assigned experts to perform acceptance inspection to the state key laboratory for metal extrusion and forging equipment technology supported by China National Heavy Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd for construction. The acceptance group consisted of experts from different colleges and universities, research institutes and enterprise groups. An acceptance meeting was held during this visit, and responsible comrades from the Base Construction Department under Basic Division and the Basic Research and Management Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology attended the meeting.
The acceptance experts listened attentively to the work statement of construction and acceptance by the laboratory director, conducted site inspection, and interpellated relevant issues. The responsible person of the laboratory expressed that they would take the metal extrusion and forging equipment technology and new theories, as well as new methods, new technologies, new devices, etc. in the related fields as the research emphasis, and work hard to build this laboratory as a research base for common, basic and key technologies in the heavy equipment industry, a technological innovation base for industry cluster and industry alliances, a development base for major national engineering tasks, and a training base for cultivating talents specialized in scientific and technical innovation in the heavy equipment industry.
The expert group announced the acceptance and said " The state key laboratory for the metal extrusion and forging equipment technology has achieved good results on the aspects of scientific exploration, team building, open exchange, scientific and technological achievements, etc. and successfully completed the tasks prescribed in the construction plan based on the demands of the major national equipment and technology industry, and focusing on four research directions -- extrusion equipment technology, free forging equipment technology, electro-hydraulic hammer and special molding equipment technology."
