Mr. Yin Zufei, the vehicle fitter of Jining Car Depot, Hohhot Railway Bureau, creatively invented inspection method with features like fast, effective and clever, filling the inspection blank of truck bearings.
Train, truck and vehicle bearing, like the two legs of people, is prone to cause shaft burn and shaft cut accidents. And once there is a fault or hidden danger, the consequences will be extremely serious. The maintenance cycle of train, truck and vehicle is two years, while the maintenance cycle of the rolling bearing is seven years (8 years for newly produced). During the train and truck overhaul, there is a big security risk because of big error and low fault detection rate through measuring vehicle bearing by appearance inspection instrument.
After the discovery of this problem, Yin Zufei started to learn and study intensively. He not only finished reading the professional books such as "Rolling Bearing Structure and Composition" and "Wheel Rules" but also carefully analyzed the problem in according with the illustration and information of typical bearing failure. Over three years, the non-withdrawl method of Zufei has been widely used and promoted. The workshop overhaul and ress-fit bearings have achieved qualified rate of 100%. A total of 5,481 bearing failures were founded, including 584 key failures.
