Recently, the project "Large Radial-axial CNC Ring Rolling Machine", declared by Jinan Foundry and Metalforming Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd, passed the appraisal by the experts, meanwhile, Jinan Foundry and Metalforming Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd signed the contract, namely "Major Special Project of the Independent Innovation Achievements Transformation", with Shandong Science and Technology Department. The contract was formally listed as the major special project in Shandong and also received funds of RMB 3 million from Shandong Science and Technology Department and local funds of RMB 1.5 million accrodingly.

The subject belongs to the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, which is one of seven important strategic emerging industries. It is known that the subject is to develop a "large radial-axial CNC ring rolling machine" which will make the diameter of ring processing reach 8000mm. Therefore, with the advanced global technology, it will meet requirement for the large sized rings with diameter ranging from 6000mm to 8000mm in energy, defense, transportation, machine tool and other industries of China.
