'Quietest Roller You'll Never Hear' Conveyor Roller Beats the Competition in Head-to-Head Testing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)----In head-to-head testing against several competitive conveyor rollers, Dematic's new roller was the clear winner. Dematic Corp. put these rollers through a 500 hour accelerated test to simulate 10 years of frame wear. In the test, the Dematic roller only showed .03mm wear in the axle, and .05mm wear in the frame. The competitions' rollers showed more wear and in several cases actually failed.

Dematic's new extremely quiet, high performance conveyor roller is available in all roller sizes and types to fit most all conveyor applications. The unique bearing design and proprietary manufacturing process makes the Dematic roller the longest lasting conveyor roller on the market today.

The new high performance roller uses dual, integrated polypropylene adapters over a single hex steel axle to reduce noise and wear. The Polypropylene adapters eliminate conveyor frame wear and extend the life of the conveyor frame and roller. In real-world testing of the new Dematic axle, frame wear was 8 times longer than steel axles.

"The axle adapters act like shock absorbers, reducing noise and vibration," said David Cotter, Engineering Manager, Dematic. "The axle assembly floats between springs so it can be depressed from either end for reduced installation time. The through-axle design allows our rollers to handle up to 100 lbs per roller."
